In a small house with white walls and a lively courtyard, my grandmother left an indelible mark on my heart. She was a woman of unparalleled strength and grace, whose affection was felt in every gesture and every word. Her name was synonymous with love and resilience, and her teachings remain the pillar on which I build my life.

Every afternoon, as the sun began to set and the heat of the day gave way to the cool evening breeze, my grandmother and I would have a ritual that I cherish. As a child, I loved to accompany her to the courtyard to pick jasmine. The delicate white petals and their intoxicating fragrance enveloped us as we walked among the plants. The jasmine, fresh and fragrant, were our daily treasures.

After picking the flowers, we would pull chairs out into the courtyard and sit together. The coolness of the evening enveloped us and, in that moment, time seemed to stand still. With deft, loving hands, my grandmother would string the jasmines, forming two perfect bows: one for her and one for me. While she combed her grey hair and made her signature bun, I watched in fascination as she gracefully marked her waves with her hands. Then she put the bun in her hair, transforming herself into the very picture of elegance and gentleness.

I, for my part, always asked her to put the chignon on my dress. I wanted to be able to see it, to be able to look at those jasmines and feel that I had a little piece of our evening and of my grandmother with me. Every time I saw the bow, my heart filled with joy and love.

Those moments were more than just afternoons in the courtyard; they were lessons in life, love and purity. Thus was born ‘Purity’, a perfume created in honour of my grandmother. This perfume is not just a fragrance; it is a celebration of her life and legacy. Each ingredient was carefully selected to reflect the moments we shared and the essence of her love.

Jasmine, with its sweet and intoxicating scent, evokes those afternoons of gathering and the affection that enveloped us. Orange blossom, with its citrusy freshness, recalls the vitality of the courtyard and the nature that surrounded us. Musk adds a warm, enveloping base, like my grandmother's constant embrace. Finally, almond wood adds a soft, lingering note, symbolising the strength and family roots she represented.

‘Purity’ is a tribute to an extraordinary woman, a woman whose purity in love and in life remains a guide for me. Every time I smell her scent, I return to those magical afternoons, sitting next to her, surrounded by jasmine and eternal love.
